Rio do Peixe
Duration6 hrs
The ecological corridor formed by the Rio do Peixe is what defines this tour.
There are seven swimming stops distributed along two trail sections through the riparian forest, with waterfalls of different heights, natural pools, a springboard over the river, and a zip line that crosses one of the falls.
We have experienced this 2.8 km route with easy difficulty and know that physical effort takes second place. What fills the day are the stops, each with its own pool, current, and rhythm.
We recommend setting aside the whole day: the six-hour duration is spent at the stops, not on the walk.

The Rio do Peixe forms a preserved stretch of riparian forest where the trail runs along the watercourse.
This conservation matters because the area is home to the hyacinth macaw in its natural habitat. Visitors walking the route also spot other wild animals along the forest.
The presence of these species in an open environment is one of the tour's concrete highlights.
The route is divided into two sections that create distinct rhythms.
The first section is about 2 km long. Along this route, you will find a fun springboard for jumping into the water, three waterfalls, a swimming spot with fish, a jumping platform at Poção Waterfall, and another spot with a pulley.
The second section adds another 800 meters of trail with three swimming spots, 2 waterfalls, and a zip line. Throughout the route, you may observe monkeys, macaws, and tapirs that appear on the farm.
Between the two sections, there is a natural pause where the group reorganizes before continuing.

The group enters the riparian forest, with the first swimming stops appearing in the first kilometers.
Each spot has its own characteristics, with deeper pools in some stretches and a gentle current in others.
The springboard over the river appears in this first section and is one of the most popular stops for those who want to jump into the water.
Poção Waterfall has a structured jumping platform for those who want to leap into the water from a greater height.
The pool below the fall is deeper and the current is controlled.
Those who prefer to watch without jumping can stay on the banks and enjoy the view.
The final 800 meters of the trail include three additional stops with two waterfalls and a zip line over one of the falls.
An accredited guide accompanies the entire route, and personal accident insurance is included.
This final stretch requires a little more energy, but the difficulty is still classified as easy.
Back at the farm headquarters, lunch is ready with typical dishes from Mato Grosso do Sul and desserts made on the property.
After the meal, the hammock area is open for resting, and this is when the hyacinth macaws come closer for photos.
The structure includes Wi-Fi and restrooms for anyone who needs to change clothes after swimming.
