The Piquinho Trail in Fernando de Noronha is an immersive experience that combines hiking and light climbing through the island’s lush natural landscapes. The trail begins on Conceição Road and follows a rocky path leading up to Piquinho, known as the Rappel Rock.
At the top, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of Morro do Pico (321 m, the island’s highest point), Cachorro Beach, and Fortaleza dos Remédios. The trail continues up to around 217 meters in altitude, where one of the most spectacular sunsets in Noronha can be enjoyed.
This is a moderate-level trail featuring hiking and light climbing sections, offering an adventurous experience with stunning panoramic views along the way. The final section is more open, making it ideal for sunset contemplation. Wildlife and native vegetation can be seen throughout the route.
We recommend wearing proper hiking footwear (trail shoes or trekking boots) and light, breathable, quick-dry clothing suitable for warm weather conditions.
