The automatic transmission eliminates the need to change gears, but braking and turning on terrain with mud, dust and obstacles requires real upper-body strength. And the dirt is not superficial: mud and clay can permanently stain clothes.
In fact, we recommend dark clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, with closed-toe shoes required and sunglasses to protect against the sun and suspended dust.
The route covers 6 km of trail inside Zagaia Eco Resort, cutting through native forest with natural obstacles such as slopes, puddles and muddy stretches. The automatic ATV removes the need to change gears, but steering and braking control requires constant arm effort, especially on curves over irregular terrain.
The trail alternates between open forest sections, where there are opportunities to spot birds and wild animals, and passages through denser forest that reduce visibility and increase the feeling of immersion. The sound of the engine mixes with the noise of the vegetation and the tires in the mud. Anyone who has done the route on days of heavy rain knows that the operation may be interrupted for safety reasons.
Before entering the trail, each rider goes through a practical test in a corral where instructors assess basic vehicle-handling ability. The exercise lasts a few minutes and covers acceleration, braking and turns in a controlled space.
Approval is required to continue to the main route. The monitors accompany the entire group, positioned at the front and back of the convoy, with constant communication throughout the ride.

Upon arrival, the team gives a brief explanation about the route, equipment and safety rules. A helmet and sanitized cap are provided before departure. The prior training covers riding techniques and correct use of the equipment.
Each participant rides the ATV on a closed circuit to demonstrate steering, braking and acceleration control. Instructors assess whether the rider is fit for the forest route. Anyone who does not demonstrate minimum control does not continue to the trail.
After approval, the group continues to the 6 km trail with natural obstacles. The guide leads the way and a second monitor closes the group, maintaining visual contact with all riders. The duration is 50 minutes to 1 hour.
At the end of the route, the group returns to the starting point inside Zagaia Eco Resort. The resort structure offers space to organize the equipment before heading back. There is also a night trail option, which follows the same route after dark with a completely different dynamic from the daytime version.

The minimum age to ride is 16, with a prior ability assessment. Passengers riding as a companion are allowed from age 6, accompanied by an adult or monitor.
Wear dark clothes that can get dirty with mud and dust, as the dirt can stain permanently. Closed-toe shoes are required and sunglasses are recommended against sun and dust.
