Abismo Anhumas
Duration3 hrs
Abismo Anhumas is a cave 72 meters deep — the height of a 26-story building — with a lake 80 meters deep and more than 20 submerged limestone cones.
It is real geology, formed over thousands of years in the underground of Bonito/MS.
For years, we have accompanied people descending for the first time, and the introductory dive reveals this environment to those who have never scuba dived before: you descend by elevator, float in the crystal-clear waters, and dive with a guide to a depth of up to 8 meters.
A fascinating feature of the introductory dive at Abismo Anhumas is that you do not need any previous diving course or certification.
Before entering the water, you will have a short theoretical and practical lesson with instructions on how to behave and breathe underwater.
Bonito's outdoor heat gives way to the coolness of the cave when you reach the bottom.

The tour starts the day before, with a mandatory checkpoint at the Abismo Anhumas Checkpoint office, at Rua General Osório, 681 - Centro, Bonito - MS, open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
You sign the insurance form, try on the wetsuit, and the start time is defined according to the logistics of the day.
On the day of the tour, the group descends 72 meters by elevator to the bottom of the cave, takes the inflatable boat circuit across the lake with a direct view of the limestone cones, and floats with a life jacket in the crystal-clear waters.
Finally, the introductory scuba dive with an individual instructor takes place at a depth of up to 8 meters, where the absolute silence amplifies the sound of your own breathing.
The ascent is also by elevator.

Those who have never scuba dived before but want a first experience in a real geological setting will find the right combination of safety and visual impact here.
We especially recommend it for those seeking contemplation and personal achievement — the elevator descent requires no physical effort, and the dive is done at the visitor's pace.
We do not recommend it for those who have a phobia of the dark or enclosed spaces: descending into a cave can cause real discomfort, and there is no way to give up halfway through.

It is not mandatory, but we recommend having familiarity with the water. The instructor accompanies you throughout the entire activity — talk to a consultant if you have any questions.
No. The introductory dive does not require any previous course or certification. The instructor accompanies you throughout the entire activity.
Yes. The checkpoint must be completed the day before the tour, at the Abismo Anhumas Checkpoint office, at Rua General Osório, 681 - Centro, Bonito - MS, open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There you sign the Porto Seguro insurance form and try on the wetsuit.
The activity time is defined there.
You may take a waterproof camera or GoPro, but taking photos on the vertical section of the descent and ascent is prohibited.
Do not use sunscreen, repellents, or creams before the activity — any residue directly reaches the groundwater.
One day before the activity, it is mandatory to complete the checkpoint, which consists of going to the attraction office, signing the Porto Seguro insurance form, trying on the wetsuit, and receiving some instructions and information about the schedule! The checkpoint is essential for carrying out the activity!
Note: The tour start time will be defined at the checkpoint, which takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the day before the tour. We cannot guarantee or sell a time slot in advance.
