In the Serra da Bodoquena mountain range, the Salobra River has carved over millennia a limestone corridor with canyon walls exceeding 70 meters in height—equivalent to a 20-story building standing directly on the river's banks.
The Acqua Trekking is the tour that places you inside this corridor: 5 km hiked on foot, alternating between walking through the river waters and sections of dry trail on the banks, with a guide throughout the route.
The distance is the same as the Duck Kayak tour, but the perspective changes completely when your feet are on the river bottom.

The Salobra River crosses the Serra da Bodoquena in one of the most preserved stretches of Mato Grosso do Sul. The limestone canyon walls were shaped by water action over thousands of years, and today reach heights exceeding 70 meters at several points along the route.
The result is a natural channel with close-set walls, filtered light and the silence of dense forest on both sides.

The 5 km route is linear, following the Salobra River bed with alternation between aquatic and dry trail sections.
The group departs with the guide and life jackets provided by the tour. The first meters already place visitors in the water: the river is the path, not just the backdrop.
Over the 5 km, the group alternates between walking through the river bed and climbing onto dry trails on the bank when terrain requires it. The 70-meter canyon walls are visible from both positions, but the proportion changes: in the water, they frame the horizon; on the trail, they reveal the canyon's vertical dimension.
The tour has a duration of 4 hours and concludes at the support point, where rest areas, restrooms and a restaurant are available. Breakfast and lunch are included in the price: your day's meals are covered.

We recommend Acqua Trekking for visitors with basic fitness conditioning and willingness to hike 5 km on varied terrain. The difficulty is moderate: there are sections through water with uneven bottom and dry trail sections that require foot attention. Children from age 7 can participate when accompanied.
For sedentary visitors, pregnant women, people with heart conditions, mobility restrictions, recent injuries or limb prostheses we do not recommend this tour: the physical demands of the route are not compatible with these conditions. This guidance follows ABNT NBR 16708 standards (safety standard for water adventure activities) and ABNT NBR 16760 (canyoneering and activities without vertical technique), which govern operations.
Closed-toe footwear is mandatory. Sandals and flip-flops are not allowed on the route

The route is the same: 5 km along the Salobra River. The difference is in the mode of transport: on Acqua Trekking you travel on foot, in and along the river; on Duck Kayak, you travel by inflatable kayak.
The route lasts 4 hours with a guide. Considering transportation and on-site facilities, plan for the full day: total duration is 6 hours.
A life jacket is included and mandatory during the water portion. For specific questions about fitness or health history, consult a Bonitour consultant before booking.

During the tour, it is extremely important to follow the safety guidelines established by the responsible team in order to ensure the physical safety of all participants.
The use of closed-toe shoes is mandatory, providing proper stability and foot protection during the hikes.
The use of insect repellent is highly recommended to protect yourself from insects commonly found in the area.
The use of sunscreen is essential to protect yourself from intense sun exposure. Make sure to reapply it regularly to avoid sunburn.
Preserving the environment is essential; therefore, do not leave any waste or traces of litter at the site.
